Environmental Statement
The North East coastline is a spectacular place of unspoilt beauty, and we at the Cara guesthouse are doing our part to minimise our impact on the environment.
What we are doing:
We actively compost appropriate waste, use recovered water for gardening, recycle all papers, plastics and glass. The electricity provided at the Cara comes from renewable sources, and we use energy efficient light bulbs wherever possible.
We would like to ask your help in protecting the environment:
We will happily change towels upon request, please turn off lights and electrical appliances when leaving your room, and close doors to retain heat.
Owners and staff at the Cara strive to be environmental friendly, and globally aware.
We know that a combined global effort will make a huge difference for future generations and know that doing our part locally, here in Whitley Bay will have a positive impact for years to come.
