From
the moment you arrive at the Cara guesthouse, it will
be apparent that there is an ever evolving town. Whitley
Bay has always been home to attractions which suit all
interests, ages and cultures. The
restaurants, cafes, shops, bars and clubs offer a great
opportunity to sit back and relax, or hit the town. Whitley
Bay also has a renowned playhouse, golf, mini golf, leisure
pool and amusements.

St.
Mary’s Island with it’s historic lighthouse
is visible from many of our rooms at the Cara, the lighthouse
together with the museum and nature walks make it a great
Northeast attraction.
All of Northumberland and North Tyneside attractions are
within easy reachable distance. We are ideally situated
with Newcastle city centre and all its museums, cafes,
restaurants and theatres and only seven miles away;: easily
accessed by metro, and local public transport. Newcastle
is a fast growing Cosmopolitan city that makes it a great
place to visit.
